We have our children studying
in some of the best schools in Nepal because we do not want to compromise in their education. However, there are many children who
are unable to go to school due to their parents’ financial problems. We believe that no children should be deprived of education
for that reason. It is the government’s responsibility to ensure education for all children. However, in reality, there are many,
many children who do not go to school. So, Godavari Alumni Association is making an effort to start a child-to-child sponsorship
drive.
Child-to-child sponsorship is an opportunity for parents to sponsor poor children through their children so as to build a sense of responsibility in their children. Reports of the children will be provided to the sponsors and links will also be made so that the sponsors and the sponsored children can link and meet each other occasionally.
